...Digital architectural archives pose distinct preservation challenges, including an absence of clear standards for archiving the wide range of 3-dimensional digital description types employed by architects. As an entirely digital born design project, Greg Lynn’s Embryological House archive has become a DOCAM preservation case study. This presentation outlines the challenges involved in preserving the products of a digital design process, and the preservation strategies under development since the CCA’s receipt of the Embryological House files this year. |
