Artistic intent   (French Equivalent: Intention artistique)

DefinitionSuccess is the ability to continue to display these works [installations] in accordance with the artist's intent. A conservator also has a responsibility to preserve the historical quality or character of the work both in relation to the history of contemporary art and the development of an artist's work throughout his or her lifetime.
