The International Network for the Conservation of Contemporary Art (INCCA) Bibliography on the Conservation of Modern and Contemporary Art is now available on the Getty Conservation Institute's (GCI) project bibliographies website http://gcibibs.getty.edu/asp/. The INCCA Literature Database currently contains over 2,000 records related to the conservation of modern and contemporary art, as well as general references. The bibliographic records were submitted by INCCA members and serve as an introduction to this area of cultural heritage conservation. The majority of the references are to publications in English, German, or Dutch, with some Spanish, French and Italian references. Overall, the subject focus of the bibliography is on the conservation of modern and contemporary paintings, although publications concerning other media can also be found. Subject index terms have been assigned to each record to facilitate more precise searching. INCCA will continue to be responsible for content decisions and future additions, while the GCI will continue to enhance the bibliographic citations as research is completed. | |
